The function of majority of proteins is mediated through protein-protein interactions. The multienzyme complex consists of multiple protein subunits that channel reaction intermediates to increase the efficiency of processing and allow simplification of physiological processes. The different protein-protein interactions occurring in a cell are known as interactomes.
