To describe: The common arrhythmias and cardiac arrest.

Concept introduction: The damage to conduction system of the heart due to systemic causes like electrolyte abnormalities, drug toxicity, or infection will result in deviations from the normal cardiac rate or rhythm. Cardiac dysrhythmia or cardiac arrhythmia is referred to abnormal heart beat.
