Concept introduction: The defect in the heart structure that is present in the birth is known as congenital heart defect (CHD). It is also called as congenital heart anomaly or congenital heart disease. The symptoms of the CHD are based on the specific kind of problem. The disease can range from simple conditions that do not cause any symptoms to complex problems which cause severe threatening symptoms.
