Introduction

Michigan State University should improve its approach to women who report they have been assaulted by other students. The school administration must make it easier to report and provide support to victims, rather than trying to protect the reputation of the school. If every allegation were fully investigated, and guilty parties were removed from the school, the atmosphere here would be improved, because women may come to feel that their concerns are treated on par with those of men. One measurement of success would be a zero tolerance policy for athletes who commit sexual assault.
