Introduction:

The ear is the sensory organ that detects the stimuli of hearing. In the inner ear, mechanoreceptors are present which detect the vibration of the sound wave and transmit the stimuli to the auditory cortex of the brain. The tympanic reflex is the mechanism to protect the ear receptors to get damaged by the transmission of loud sound waves.
