Leadership is defined as an art of motivating an individual or a group of people towards achieving a common purpose or goal. Leadership is a key trait that is required in management. There are number of leadership styles that leaders and mangers use when leading their group or teams. It could fall under autocratic, democratic lassies fair or paternalistic.
Explanation of Solution
Leader is someone who has the ability or the action that a person takes to motivate and ensure that the individual or group that the person is working with is actually motivated to work together and achieve common purpose.
Management is the general process of dealing with individuals or controlling people. It deals with certain functions such as planning, organizing, directing, controlling and commanding.
The key difference is that leaders will actually have people who will follow them whereas managers are people with power who actually make people work for them. A manager can always be a leader and have leadership traits within.
