Explanation of Solution

The gray matter is the main constituent of the central nervous system (CNS). It is dominated by neuroglia, the cell bodies of neurons, and unmyelinated axons. The narrow central canal is surrounded by the deep gray matter and form a butterfly or H-shape. The gray matter undergoes the growth and development throughout adolescence and childhood.
