Concept introduction:

The strands of DNA molecule contain the complementary pairs of bases. One nucleotide sequence of one strand automatically provides the details required to form its partner. The adenine is complementary nucleotide for thymine and cytosine is the complementary nucleotide for guanine.

A hexokinase A is an enzyme that attaches phosphoryl group to a hexose and results in the formation of hexose phosphate. It can transfer an inorganic phosphate group from ATP to a substrate molecule.
