The reason why muscle spindles help in maintaining posture.
Introduction:
The muscle spindles are attached to the Golgi tendon organs, which inhibit the contraction of these muscles during lifting of load, exercises, and movement of the body. This helps in maintaining the posture and balance of the body. The reflex generated in opposite in the direction of the stretch reflex. The parts of the body are moved back by the generation of this reflex, which maintains the equilibrium of the body. It releases the stress and tensions in the muscles.
