Telomerase is ribonucleoprotein that adds specific telomere repeats sequences to the 3’ end of telomeres. Telomerase is also known as a terminal transferase. The telomere is the area of repetitive sequences present at the end of most eukaryotes. The main function of telomere is to protect the end of the chromosomes from damage.
