To identify: Weather stronger legs or longer feet will help a person to stand with heels and back to the wall and then lean over and touch toes without toppling.
Answer to Problem 30A
Longer feet.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
Center of gravity helps in maintaining the position weather standing straight still or leaning forward.
Longer feet provide a bigger base and stable center of gravity. Hence, while leaning forward stability can be maintained for a longer time without toppling.
However, using normal feet but stronger legs center of gravity will be disturbed and there are possible chances of toppling while leaning forward in lesser time.
Conclusion:
Thus, longer feet will help to maintain the position and center of gravity while leaning over.
