Program Plan Intro

Data Security:

Most Organization thinks that the data is the most valuable asset that they are having. To make the data accessible on demand, an organization must manage and protect its data just like other resources. So the data must be kept secure.

  • For example, using some standards the data in a database often encrypted. This is to protect the data from unauthorized users trying to read the contents. And those who need to process the data should get permission to do it.
  • DBMS (Database Management System) provides a mechanism to stop accessing data by unauthorized people.

Explanation of Solution

Steps to secure a database:

  • Each person accessing the database should have a profile that includes a user name, a strong password
  • Only administrators should have access to create and delete tables.
  • Consider allowing typical users only to view or modify records.
  • Restrict users to accessing only database tables and records that are necessary to perform their job function(s).
  • Limit the number of unsuccessful sign-in attempts in a specified period, and record
