Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

The time taken to fluoresce a single dye molecule by a continuous-wave laser of $1.0\text{ mW}$ power and $488\text{ nm}$ wavelength has to be calculated.

Concept introduction:

The laser is an abbreviation name of “Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation”.  The laser gives light after the amplification process.  A laser beam contains a large number of photons.  The energy of the laser is given by the expression as shown below.
