Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

The ratio of the weights of populations due to the effects of nuclear statistics for ${}^{12}{\text{C}}^{32}{\text{S}}_2$ has to be calculated. The effect that would be observed when ${}^{12}\text{C}$ is replaced by ${}^{13}\text{C}$ has to be stated.

Concept introduction:

Nuclear statistics is the selective existence of some rotational states over others. Nuclear statistics must be taken into account when rotation changes equivalent nuclei. Several different relative nuclear spin orientations are consistent with even values of the rotational quantum number and a different number of spin orientations are consistent with odd values of rotational quantum number.
