Introduction:
The facial, mandibular, and tongue muscles are involved in the chewing process. Apart from this, these muscles also help in the speech. The hyoid bone serves as a firm base for the tongue and helps in its movement. The suprahyoid and infrahyoid muscles are located at the superior and inferior portion of the hyoid bone, respectively in the neck.
