Concept Introduction:
Bond enthalpy:
Bond enthalpy is the amount of energy required to break one mole of a particular type of bond. So, bond enthalpy decides the bond strength.
Bond enthalpy and bond order:
Bond order determines the number of bonds in the pair of two atoms whereas bond enthalpy determines whether the bond is strong or weak bond. Therefore, bond order is the quantitative measure of the bond whereas bond enthalpy is the qualitative measure of the bond.
