Introduction:
The retina is the light-sensitive tissue that has functions comparable to a film in a camera. The retina converts an optical image into neural impulses. A chain of electrical and chemical events initiates when an image is focused onto the retina. These excitations are processed by the nerve fibers and various others parts of the brain.
