Chapter 10, Problem 9SE

Effects of Television Violence on Men (Example 1) A study done by Husemann et al. and published in Developmental Psychology in 2003 compared men who viewed high levels of television violence as children with those who did not in order to study the differences with regard to physical abuse of their partners as adults. The men categorized as physically abusive had hit, grabbed, or shoved their partners.

Chapter 10, Problem 9SE, Effects of Television Violence on Men (Example 1) A study done by Husemann et al. and published in

a. Find the row. column, and grand totals, and prepare a table showing these values as well as the counts given.

b. Find the percentage of men overall that were abusive.

c. Find the expected number of men exposed to high levels of television violence who should say yes, if the variables are independent. Multiply the proportion overall that were abusive times the number of men exposed to high levels of television violence. Do not round off to a whole number. Round to two decimal digits.

d. Find the other expected counts using your knowledge that the expected counts must add to the row and column totals. Report them in a table with the same orientation as the one given for the data.

Please solving problem2 Problem1 We consider a two-period binomial model with the following properties: each period lastsone (1) year and the current stock price is S0 = 4. On each period, the stock price doubleswhen it moves up and is reduced by half when it moves down. The annual interest rateon the money market is 25%. (This model is the same as in Prob. 1 of HW#2).We consider four options on this market:ˆ A European call option with maturity T = 2 years and strike price K = 5;ˆ A European put option with maturity T = 2 years and strike price K = 5;ˆ An American call option with maturity T = 2 years and strike price K = 5;ˆ An American put option with maturity T = 2 years and strike price K = 5.(a) Find the price at time 0 of both European options.(b) Find the price at time 0 of both American options. Compare your results with (a)and comment.(c) For each of the American options, describe the optimal exercising strategy.
