(a) What is the height to which the bob swings on the other side compared to the height from which it was released? Explain. (b) Derive the expression for the period of the pendulum with the inserted peg. (c) Draw a qualitative position versus time graph for three periods of the pendulum’s motion. (d) What happens to the force exerted by the string on the bob when the bob passes the equilibrium position? Explain.
