Partitioning the memory management:

• The process of managing the computer memory is known as memory management.
• Partition memory management system can be done using two strategies:
  • Fixed-partition technique:
    • Main memory is sub-divided into a number of partitions.
    • The job loaded into the partition is itself enough to hold the data and there is no need of same size while partitioning the main memory.
  • Dynamic-partition technique:
    • Main memory is viewed as a single partition.
    • A job is loaded in the main memory; it takes the memory needed for its accommodation and leaves the space for other jobs.
    • Size of the partition is dynamic.
