Chapter 10, Problem 1.9T
Summary Introduction
Bone is a firm organ made up of hard tissues called osseous tissue. They meet each other at a particular region called the joint. The knee joint is the one which is being frequently used for day to day activities, formed by the femur and tibia. Ligaments connect the bones and act as a glue to avoid friction between bones and keep the knee strong. There are two different types of ligaments present in the knee: collateral and cruciate ligaments. An injury in the knee may lead to ligament tear and inflammation.
