Find the location of the resultant of the column loads (X) using the relation:

X=Q2L3Q1+Q2

X=150kip×13.5ft150kip+100kip=8.1ft

Find the length of the foundation (L) using the relation:

L=2(L2+X)

Substitute 3 ft for L2 and 8.1 ft for X.
