Hierarchy chart:
Hierarchy chart explains the structure of a
- When a program with many functions call the other functions, the programmers usually use a tool besides flowchart to represent the complete picture of how those functions have to be linked with each other.
- Hierarchy chart only tells how one function calls the other. It does not give the information about its performance and execution.
- It is a graphically representation of the structure of a program. It contains boxes that show step by step process in the program.

Problem Statement for Stock Transaction Program
George uses the services of a brokerage firm to buy and sell stocks. Each time he buys or sells a block of stocks, he must pay the brokerage firm a commission of 1.5% per share.Design a program that allows George to enter the number of shares in the block, the price per share when he bought the block and the price per share when he sold the block. The program should display the amount of money he paid to buy the stock and the amount of the commission. The amount of money he made when he sold the stock and the amount of the commission, the amount of profit (or loss) he madeafter paying for the purchase cost and both commissions.
There are three user inputs for this problem: the number of shares in the block, the price per share when the block was bought, the price per share when the block was sold.
There is one constant: the percentage of the commission (1.5%)
The amount to buy the stock is: number of shares in block * purchase price per…
Employee view attendance report
The employee must be logged in to the
system to perform this function. The
employee selects the report period (range
of dates: from - to). The employee selects
"show report". Range of dates for the
report must be maximum 3 months, so if
the range is invalid, the system displays an
error message. The system displays every
working day in the report with the status
of the employee in this day, which could
be one of the following: on time, late, did
not come.

- GreenLawn a local lawn care company has different pricing policies for its customers. GreenLawn sends out monthly invoices and will give discounts if payments are made within 5 days. The discounting policy is as follow: If the amount of the monthly bill is greater than $300, subtract 4 percent from the invoice; if the amount is between $300 and $100, subtract a 2-percent discount; if the amount is less than $100, do not apply any discount. All bills made via the web automatically receive an extra 3-percent discount. Develop a decision for GreenLawn discounting decisions. Each theater patron enters a value of 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 indicating the number of stars that the patron awards to the App’s featured movie of the week. If a user enters a star value that does not fall in the correct range, the program will prompt the user continuously until a correct value is entered. The program executes continuously until a negative number is entered to quit. At the end of the program display: the number of ratings given the average star rating for the movie of the week the following message depending on the average rating. 3 or better – “Great movie choice!” 2 up to 3 – “Good movie choice!” 1 up to 2 – “Not a Good movie choice.” 0 up to 1 – “Bowling would have been a better…arrow_forwardPersonal library softwareTo develop a software that would be used by individuals to manage their personal collection of books.A person can have up to a few hundreds of books. The system must implement the following rules: The system uses three drones but only one drone will fly at any given time. When the drones are at rest (in their 'home' location) they sit on a recharging station and can fully charge a battery in 30 minutes (the charger will automatically turn off when the battery is fully charged). A drone's battery life lasts up to 40 minutes of flight time. The surveillance system operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The flight path is preprogrammed using a set of GPS coordinates and does not need to be programmed in your solution. A drone will follow the flight path continuously (circling) until the battery has just enough power remaining to return to the 'home' location to recharge. When a drone returns to the 'home' location, it seats itself in the charger, and another drone (one that has the most charge) will automatically launch and repeat the cycle. During the…arrow_forward

Hugely attracted by the self-ordering kiosks at other popular fast-food restaurants, the management of Tasty Burgers wanted to implement a similar system at their outlet. During an earlier meeting with your manager (Tom), Jim has been briefed about the challenges in implementing a full-fledged self-ordering kiosk as a single project.
