To examine: Whether the statement “Individuals participating in the WIC program have

one or more nutritional risk factors” is true or false.

Introduction: The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides education, counseling and food vouchers for those who can be described for having low-income, being pregnant, in the postpartum, and breastfeeding. Also, low-income children under the age of five years come under the same umbrella. Food vouchers to obtain nutritious food are made available to them.
