Given information: ‘C’ travels by bicycle in south direction at 8 miles per hour and his friend ‘H’ starts cycling with the same place after one hour at 10 miles per hour.

Hence, according to the fundamental counting principle (FCP), $8x=10\left(x-1\right)$

Calculation: $8x=10\left(x-1\right)$

  $\Rightarrow 8x=10x-10$
