The battles of Lexington and Concord were fought on April 19, 1775. It was fought in Middlesex County which was situated in the Province of Massachusetts Bay. It was the first confrontation and first military engagements of the series of the American Revolutionary War. The areas affected were Concord, Lexington, Cambridge, Menotomy and Lincoln. They represented the start of military confrontation between the United Kingdom and its thirteen American colonies.
