There are several types of tyres that the company produces: (1) for automotive industry, (2) for plane construction, (3) for agricultural machinery. With growth of the company the functional areas also started to expand and included such as: (1) procurement, (2) manufacturing, (3) ordering, (4) sales, (5) admin/accounting. The document flow was expanding сcorrespondingly, therefore, higher level of automation in the internal company’s system become a must. All the accounting and financial documentation were processed in three separate computer applications (order filling, invoicing and payroll). Overall economic growth in the country has led to increase in car purchases and consequently the demand for tyres was constantly increasing. When the new order for tyres is placed, the packaged tyres are delivered to the customer and invoice is issued. The existing applications cover order filling, invoicing, accounts receivable and payable, inventory control and payroll. The data in the system is organized around entities including customers, orders and invoices.
