Question

A Medical Center is divided into several major units such as Pediatrics, Cardiology, Orthopedics, General Medicine, among others. Each unit has a unit code, unit name, unit address, and unit contact number. Physicians are attached to units and can be attached to more than one unit. Each unit has multiple physicians attached to it. Each unit is also chaired by a physician who is attached to the unit and may, potentially, be attached to other units as well. Each unit can be chaired by only one physician. For example, Dr. Kate McKinnon, the Chair of Cardiology, is attached to both General Medicine and Cardiology. However, a single physician cannot be chair of more than one unit. You have been hired by CTO, Dr. Kalel Jones, to design and develop the database to keep track of physicians, and their attachment to the various units. You also want to keep track of the Center units, the physicians attached to them, and the unit chairs. He also wants to keep track of physician mentors. Essentially, physicians mentor other physicians. For instance, Dr. Krirsten Strong, a physician in General Medicine, is a mentor to Dr. David Won and Dr. Ida Nyong, fellow physicians. A physician can be a mentor to multiple physicians, but a “mentee” physician can have only one mentor. Not all physicians mentor other physicians, and not all physicians have a mentor.
