What is the role of Ahuramazda
Ahura Mazdā, “Wise Lord” also known as Ormizd or Ormazd, chief god in old Iranian religion, specially Zoroastrianism, the religious ways of the Iranian prophet Zoroaster. Ahura Mazda was worshipped by the Persian king Darius I (reigned 522–486 BCE) and his successors because the substantial of all gods and preserver of the just king.
According to Zarathustra, Ormazd created the universe and also the cosmic order that he maintains. He generated the dual spirits Spenta Mainyu and Angra Mainyu (Ahriman)—the last beneficent, choosing truth, light, and life; and therefore the latter destructive, choosing deceit, darkness, and death. The struggle of the spirits against one another makes up the history of the planet and is reflected within the choice between good and evil that humanity constantly faces.
