Experimental Research
Experimental research study is a scientific approach to conducting research. In this design, one or more independent variables are manipulated and are applied to dependent variables. The effect of independent variables on the dependent variables are then compared and reported. This effect of independent variable on dependent variable aid the researchers in drawing a clear relationship between the two.
Correlational Research
Correlational research is a type of non-experimental research design in which two variables are measured. The researcher tries to understand and assess the statistical relationship between the two variables without any influence from an extraneous variable. There are three types of correlation, Positive correlation, where increase in one variable leads to increase in the other; Negative correlation where increase in one variable leads to decrease in the other; and No correlation where there is no statistical relationship between the two variables.
