Techniques of problem solving on a test -
1. Clearly define the question - It can be risky to jump on the answer without knowing the question, because it may right or wrong. So firstly one should identify clearly that what the question is.
2. Try different ways - If you are not able to answer the questions you have to try it by doing in different ways. If one way doesn't provide the result use another way.
3. Time is precious - You have to manage the time according to the length of the test that what time is required to complete the test and divide the time accordingly.
