George Richards Minot was born at Boston in U.S.A in the year 1885. Initially he was interested in the study of moths and butterflies but then gained a degree Sc.D in the year 1928. He became assistant in Medicine at the Harvard Medical School in 1915. In 1928, he became the professor there. He won the Noble Prize in Medicine in the year 1934.
