What developments and innovations occurred during the Hellenistic Era?
Alexander the Great, the leader of the Greek Kingdom, established a far-flung empire; extending from Greece to India. Alexander's empire helped spread Greek culture to distant lands. Alexander the Great's campaign brought Hellenization from the Eastern Mediterranean to Asia. Historians considered the three centuries of Greek history as the "Hellenistic Period." The historic era occurred between the death of Alexander the Great in 323 B.C.E. and the defeat of Mark Anthony and Cleopatra’s forces by the Roman army of Octavian in 31 B.C.E.
