An International Organization(IO) is also known as an intergovernmental organization. These International institutions are constituted to act as a peacemaker, work to form international agenda, and wheel and deal for international political issues. Also, it acts as a coordinator and cooperator amongst the member nations. These organizations are set up on the basis of some treaty or an instrument under the aegis of international law. Some major examples of these International Organizations are the United Nations(UN), International Labour Organization(ILO), European Union(EU), World Trade Organization, International Criminal Police Organizations(INTERPOL), and Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe(OSCE). However, the very first IO was the League of Nations.
