Both Odysseus and Gilgamesh are protagonists of primary epics. What is one other, crucial similarity between them? What is a conspicuous difference between them?
Gilgamesh and Odysseus are two heroes from different time periods who were searching for the meaning of life. Early Mesopotamia gave birth to the Gilgamesh epic, while early Greece gave birth to the Odyssey. Despite the passage of time, Gilgamesh and Odyssey have remained immensely famous, and literature students and professors from all over the world frequently refer to them. Although there are many lessons to be learnt from the Gilgamesh and Odyssey epics, the most important is how heroes were defined and respected in these two communities.
