GOOD SALESPEOPLE ARE MADE NOT BORN:-
There are many friendly and outgoing people in sales who can't agree on the sales cycle. Selling is much more than just being nice and open. It's rare to find a person who starts their career and is perfect for sales. Becoming a good salesperson takes time, practice, discipline and patience. Salespeople are not born.
Sales, like any skill, takes practice. Professional athletes have natural talent, but they practice and hone that talent to be the best they can be. Some people have natural skills that lend themselves to selling, but the best salespeople take that talent and hone it. Every sales situation is unique, but there are usually some common obstacles. Getting through the gatekeepers, effective prospecting, budget availability, reaching decision makers and so on. The more times a salesperson encounters these obstacles, the better they become at dealing with them. They hone their skills and anticipate these things to happen. Sales can be a tough profession. There is mostly a lot of rejection involved. Many people who are "born to sell" often wash out because they can't handle rejection. Over time, salespeople can develop a mindset for dealing with rejection. They don't take it personally and are able to move on.
