Expert Solution
The Power of Habit

Charles Duhigg, a New York Times reporter, explores the science behind habits in his book "The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business".  It describes that habit based on 4 things:

  • Habit Loop - It refers to the neurological pattern underlying a habit. It involves a cue, a routine, and a reward.
  • Golden Rule of Habit Change - It is the way of changing undesirable habits and replacing them with new, better ones. It says that if one keeps the cue and the reward, better habits can be cultivated.
  • Keystone Habits - They refer to habits that can unintentionally trigger changes in other habits.
  • Training - Courses that teach people the science underlying habits that are mentioned in the book, "The Power of Habit."
