One person owns 7/12 of the franchise.
Second person owns 1/6 of the franchise.
To find: Share of the third person.
Step2
b)
Three people together owns a hamburger
franchise.
Let share of third person be x.
Share of first person + Share of second person +
Share of third person = 1
7/12 + 1/6 + x = 1
x = 1 - (7/12 + 1/6 )
x = 1 - (9/12)
x = 3/12 = 1/4
Therefore,
third person owns 1/4 of the franchise.
