The two theories I decided to choose for my discussion is theory 1, scientific management theory and theory 5, transformational leadership. The scientific management theory I believe is a straight forward management style that doesn't leave to much growth personally for workers. All the roles are defined in regards to responsibilities and what's expected. Production is monitored and seems very important on determining what needs to be changed. Workers roles are chosen by their skillset or where they fit the best. I believe this would be an easy structure to manage due to the defined lines of responsibilities and can reduce stress in regards to managing personnel. The transformational leadership theory I believe takes a different angle to scientific management theory and allows for personnel to grow within a company. Transformational leadership theory relies heavy on the managers or leaders teaching and influencing their personnel to grow as members of a company. It's not as clear cut on production as the first theory I mentioned but I believe production would be enhanced along with morale of workers. Workers production and morale could be high due to the chances of growth within a company and not stagnant in their position. I believe this theory could be risky due to the fact that some people although taught the correct way, may not be fit for leadership roles. The business I chose to use for an example was a shoe company/ factory. I think that the weak spot in this industry could be the lack of supply because the demand I believe is there. If I used the scientific management theory, I believe it's easier to dissect where my weak spots would be in my supply. I can monitor the production and pinpoint where production points may be down and fix it from there. I believe the transitions of changes would be smooth to the fact that it should be broken down by responsibilities. If I were to use the transformational leadership theory I would rely heavily on my personnel stepping up and assisting in areas that are considered weak spots. I would look for input in regards to changes that can be made and for ideas to better the company. I think the transition of changes may be difficult but I would have expectations of my personnel aking charge of the situation.

In the realm of management and leadership, the choice of a suitable approach can significantly impact the success of an organization. The decision between scientific management and transformational leadership is not a one-size-fits-all solution; it hinges on the unique goals and challenges an organization faces. Both of these approaches have their merits, and understanding the context in which they are applied is key to effective management.
