Heart is the major organ of the cardiovascular system. It is the mesodermally derived organ and it is situated in the thoracic cavity, in between the two lungs, slightly tilted to the left lung. The heart has four chambers. It includes two superior chambers, the right and left atria, and two inferior chambers, the right and left ventricles.
