Introduction and Description

A motion map represents the position, velocity, and acceleration of an object at various clock readings.Position-time(also called x-t graph) graph is a graph with position on y-axis and time on x-axis. It is plotted by using x = u×t + 0.5×a×(t)2 herex = xf - xixf is final velocity xi is initial velocityt= tf - titf is final time ti is inital timeu is inital velocity a is acceleration.The x-t graph is parabolic for accelerated motion and is linear for motion with constant velocity

Description:

The motion starts at t= 0s the particle has an initial velocity of 2m/s to the left but is under acceleration which is in the positive x-axis, as a result, at time t= 2 s, the particle comes to rest for a moment and starts moving towards right till its velocity equals to 2 m/s, after that, it moves in the positive x-direction with the constant velocity of 2 m/s.
