Pharmacokinetics of cyclophosphamide

Pharmacokinetics is the term which describes the process that what our body does to a drug when the drug entered our body. It is of 4 stages they are,
- Absorption of the drug
- Metabolism of the drug
- Distribution of the drug
- Excretion of the drug.
Cyclophosphamide is a immunosuppressant commonly used as a chemptherapeutic agent for cancer treatment and is also used in AL amyloidosis and graft-versus host disease.
Absorption: absorption means when a drug is taken orally from the gut it should be absorbed into the body. Bioavailability means if we take 100 mg of a drug if the drug is completely absorbed into the body then we can say that the bioavailability of the drug is 100%. Cyclosphosmide absorption is very rapid it takes just one hour to completely absorb from the gut to the body.
