Thin layer chromatography also used to determine the number of component which are present in the reaction mixture , it is happening when compound run on TLC plate then it will give all type of spots of all component which are present in the mixture. By the help of TLC experiment we determine the identity of the compound and then check it's purity. TLC is mainly used in to check the progress of the reaction that how reaction is complete or not where we reactant and product spot on TLC check these spots and monitor the reaction.
