DNA aur RNA is a polymer of nucleotides. DNA is made up of deoxyribose sugar, a phosphate group and a nitrogenous  base where as RNA is made up of ribose sugar, a phosphate group and nitrogenous  base.

Two types of nitrogenous bases are present purines and pyrimidines.  Purines are of two types adenine and guanine pyrimidines are of three types - cytosine, thymine and uracil. In RNA uracil is present and in DNA thymine is present.
