How did this idea influence the development of Puritan society and cause problems within the Puritan community?
Puritanism was a religious reform movement that attempted to introduce reforms in the English and Roman Catholic church. The movement took place during the 16th and 17th centuries CE. They wanted the English church to abandon all the religious practices and ceremonies that were not mentioned in the Bible. The puritans migrated to other parts of the world. A group of Puritans established the Plymouth Colony in 1620, which was the second successful English settlement in America after the Jamestown Settlement (1607) of Virginia. By the 1630s, the puritans also established the Massachusetts Bay Colony. The Puritans believed in the idea of predestination. They believed that the fate of each individual is known to gold at the time of his/her birth and mortal human beings cannot do anything to change the outcome of their fate
