List three major ports or commercial hubs in Asia that were founded or conquered by the Spanish.
The European powers led by Spain and Portugal discovered a sea route to Asian, African, and American countries in the 15th and 16th centuries CE. This discovery led to the establishment of colonies in newly discovered areas by Portuguese, Spanish, British, Danish, Dutch, and French. The Spanish monarchy regulated its colonies in Asia through the Spanish East Indies. The Spanish King used the title of the "King of the East and West Indies". The Spanish territories in Asia included the Philippines, Guam, Palau, Marianas, Carolines, Marshall Islands, parts of Taiwan, and parts of Maluku.
