In an effort to study the effects of sleep on test scores, a group of researchers recruits 20 males and 20 females from a university's student population. The researchers place the students into 4 groups: 1 group of 10 students who sleep for 0 to 3 hours a night; 1 group of 10 students who sleep between 3 and 6 hou

For the three-part question that follows, provide your answer to each question in the given workspace. Identify each part with a coordinating response. Be sure to clearly label each part of your response as Part A, Part B, and Part C.

Use the study below to answer Part A, Part B, and Part C.

In an effort to study the effects of sleep on test scores, a group of researchers recruits 20 males and 20 females from a university's student population. The researchers place the students into 4 groups: 1 group of 10 students who sleep for 0 to 3 hours a night; 1 group of 10 students who sleep between 3 and 6 hours a night; 1 group of 10 students who sleep between 6 and 9 hours a night; and 1 group of 10 students who sleep more than 9 hours a night. Then, the researchers give the students a math test and record their scores.
Previous performance on math tests is not considered when placing the students into groups.

The resulting data leads the researchers to conclude that sleeping for longer periods leads to higher test scores. In none of the groups did there appear to be any significant difference between males and females. Based on this, the researchers conclude that adults who sleep longer perform better on tests.

Part A: Name two strengths of the study.

Part B: Name two weaknesses of the study.

Part C: Provide a concrete suggestion for how the study could be improved.
