I am trying to code something that when given an input (for pars), will tell you if it is a bogey, par, birdie, or eagle. However, it just outputs par, I understand it's because I have "if par == par" but I don't know any other way to write that code that would result differently, "par == True" has an outcome of "Error" due to no code fitting it. Thanks in advance. par = int(input()) if par == (par - 2): print('Eagle') elif par == (par - 1): print('Birdie') elif par: print('Par') elif par == (par + 1): print('Bogie') else: print('Error')

par = int(input())
if par == (par - 2):
print('Eagle')
elif par == (par - 1):
print('Birdie')
elif par:
print('Par')
elif par == (par + 1):
print('Bogie')
else:
print('Error')
The goal of the code is to determine if a golf score (called "par") is a "bogey," "par," "birdie," or "eagle" based on the input score.
- If the input score is 2 strokes less than "par," it's an "Eagle" (a very good score).
- If it's 1 stroke less than "par," it's a "Birdie" (a good score).
- If it's the same as "par," it's a "Par" (an average score).
- If it's 1 stroke more than "par," it's a "Bogie" (a slightly worse score).
- If it doesn't match any of these conditions, it's an "Error" (something unexpected).
The code takes the input score, compares it to these conditions one by one, and prints the corresponding term (Eagle, Birdie, Par, Bogie) or "Error" based on the comparison.
