I am a second-year computer science major. I decided to take this course because I am currently in the main anthropology class and thought it would be a good idea to take the lab class so that I could get the feeling of what it is like to be an anthropologist because it seems like a very interesting trade to me. The topic I am most interested in learning in these 8 weeks is the section on forensic anthropology because I want to see the process that scientists go through to help solve cases. This is not my first online class. I think something that a professor could have done to make an online class easier on us would be to have a way of communicating quickly like having a remind or what some of my other classes have done is have a class discord. An interesting fact about myself is I can build and customize mechanical keyboards. This was a hobby that I picked up during lockdown because I had nothing better to do. Another interesting fact about myself is that I will be the first in my family to pursue college, finish it, move over to a 4-year university, and hopefully graduate with a bachelor's degree in my respective major.
