The first world war was fought from 1914 to 1918. After a gap of almost two decades, the second world war started in the year 1939 and went on till the year 1945. Both these wars started in Europe and then spread to many areas of the world. In both wars, the Allies (the group of the USA and the UK) emerged victorious.
